Planned Adaptive™ software is the first commercially available solution that allows clinicians to monitor and maintain a prescribed treatment plan with each and every fraction.

Because patients lose weight over the course of treatment, and targets and organs shift from day today, clinicians must account for the impact these changes have on treatment delivery. The Planned Adaptive software is designed to let clinicians keep track of these changes—and proactively adjust treatment plans so that patients accurately receive the prescribed dose from the first treatment to the last.

The TomoTherapy System’s single database stores dose information from both treatment planning and treatment delivery, making it easy to identify “hot” and “cold” dose regions, then use those regions to update the plan. The CTrue™ images, then, are used for daily registration to yield the highly-accurate density information necessary for treatment planning. The system’s robust dose isolation tools streamline the re-optimization process and its precise dose computation algorithm helps ensure dosimetric accuracy throughout the treatment planning process.
